When match day arrives, you have 90 minutes to work as hard as you possibly can so that your sacrifices and hours spend training pay off. You never know when one game could completely change your life. Every game you have to think that this could be the game you get noticed by a coach or scout at the next level you are trying to reach, take the next step and become an elite player, and there are many other outcomes. Play every game like it's the most important game of your life.

In this sport, things can change in a matter of seconds. You have to be prepared to guard against complacency and also face adversity. If you are winning, don't let off. If you are losing, don't stop fighting. Everyone wants to win, but there will only be one winner. The winner will be the one that worked the hardest on the training ground, is the most physically and mentally prepared, and wants it the most. If you lose, you and your team did not have those three things. Don't let a loss negatively affect you. Let it be your motivation that you weren't good enough. Work harder to get better.

We play a sport that requires you to be strong physically, but even stronger mentally. If you are not mentally prepared, you will never be physically prepared. How bad do you want to win? Do you have the grit and heart that it takes to become a champion? Ask yourself these questions, but the true test will come on the pitch. Fight for yourself and your teammates. Go all in, push your self to the limit, and leave everything you got on the pitch. When everyone else is tired, you have an opportunity to use your strength you have developed in training and take over the game.
